This post is all about drop waist wedding dress trends for 2023 and 2024! After researching hundreds of dresses & designers, I’ve noticed the drop waist style over & over again. I personally love this style because it’s timeless yet modern. Here are the dresses and designers that have stood out to me the most for this year!
Danielle Frankel
All Danielle Frankel dresses are absolute perfection! Her ‘Nina’ drop waist gown is by far one of her most popular dresses. I love the way the ruffle & full skirt exaggerates the hip area. Very flattering! Overall, this style is so elegant, & perfect for a modern chic bride! I am absolutely obsessed with this dress.
2. Jenny by Jenny Yoo
This drop waist wedding dress is from Anthropologie & is absolutely stunning! It’s made with a stretch satin material, & has a beautiful cut out & button detail in the back. This dress is a show stopper, and it’s also extremely budget friendly.
I was SO close to buying this dress, but decided to go in a different direction. I still love it so much!! This dress is just beautiful.
3. Justin Alexander Signature
This is called the Melena. I love the straight across corset top with the tulle drop waist skirt. There is also an option to add a big black bow in the back, which I think is super cute! I’m not normally a fan of tulle for wedding gowns, but it looks very elegant with a drop waist style. Love this!
4. Vera Wang
The Vera Wang Fernanda dress is iconic. It’s hard to see from this photo, but press the link here to see this dress in motion. It really is breathtaking! No one does bridal better than Vera!
5. Houghton by Katharine Polk
Last but not least we have this drop waist halter dress called the ‘Diane’. This style is classy yet modern with the plunging open back detail. I also love the lace overlay!
